Overview

The CD4060BPWR is a 14-stage binary ripple counter with an oscillator and 10 decoded outputs. The oscillator arrangement facilitates the creation of either RC or crystal oscillator circuits. A RESET input is included, serving to reset the counter to its initial all-O's state and to deactivate the oscillator. Initiating a high level on the RESET line accomplishes this reset operation. The counter stages employ master-slave flip-flops throughout. Progression of the counter's state by one binary step occurs during the negative shift of fI (as well as fO). All inputs and outputs receive comprehensive buffering. The input-pulse line incorporates Schmitt trigger action, allowing for unrestricted rise and fall times of input pulses.
