Overview

The MGC3030T-I/SS is a single chip 3D Gesture controller enabling Gesture based user interfaces to be created. The chip uses an electrical-field (E-field) for three-dimensional (3D) gesture recognition based on Microchip’s patented GestIC® technology. GestIC enables user command input with natural hand movements in free-space. Gestures are meaningful hand movements such as rotations to dim lights (Air wheel) or flicks to change to the next track.The MGC3030T-I/SS offers the shortest development cycle for gesture implementation. Design guides, Host reference code, I2C communication guide and also video tutorials are provided by Microchip.Besides 3D gestures the MGC3030T-I/SS offers touch detection (Sensor Touch) and low power proximity (Wake up / Approach) are also part of the product offering.
