Overview

The 24CW16X provides 16 Kbits of SerialEEPROM utilizing an I2C (2-wire) serial interface. It is organized as 2048 bytes of 8 bits each (2 Kbytes). The 24CW Series isoptimized for use in consumer and industrial applications, where reliable and dependable nonvolatile memory storage is essential. The 24CW Series allows up toeight devices to share a common I2C (2-wire) bus and iscapable of operation across a broad voltage range (1.6Vto 5.5V).

The 24CW Series contains a pair of programmableConfiguration registers which allow certain devicebehaviors to be modified. These registers are the WriteProtection Register and the Hardware AddressRegister.
