Overview

The MC56F8165VFGE designers adhere to the philosophy that you can never have enough of a good thing. That's why they added more on-chip Flash memory (up to 544 KB), analog-to-digital converter (ADC) inputs, timer channels, a pulse-width modulation (PWM) module, and a quadrature decoder to the peripherals found in smaller members of the device family. With these additions, a whole new set of applications can now benefit from the hybrid microcontroller (MCU)/DSP capabilities of the 56800E architecture.
