Overview

ZMID520x Position Sensor Development Tools are designed to evaluate ZMID520x family of inductive position sensor ICs. The available development tools are the ZMID520x Starter Kit, which includes the ZMID-COMBOARD communication and programming board, and the ZMID520x arc, linear, and rotary application modules. The ZMID520x evaluation kit will connect to any of the application modules for calibration, configuring, and reading sensor settings via the ZMID520x application software. This evaluation kit features USB plug and play, One-Wire communication Interface (OWI) for easy calibration, and allows users to easily swap the different application modules. The ZMID520x application modules are capable of demonstrating rotary position sensing, linear position sensing, and arc position sensing. These application modules feature easy application prototyping, measurement reports, programmable output slope and linearization, and tolerance for mechanical misalignment. The sensor PCBs of the application modules can be used for prototyping by attaching them to any existing mechanical configuration.
