Overview

ON Semiconductor NCP51402 3A Double Data Rate (DDR) Termination Regulator is designed for space-constrained low-input voltage and low-noise systems. The NCP51402 features a high-performance, low-dropout (LDO) linear regulator capable of both sourcing and sinking current. The LDO regulator uses a fast feedback loop. The fast feedback loop enables small ceramic capacitors to support the fast load transient response. The NCP51402 regulator offers a fast transient response while requiring only a 20�f output capacitance. The NCP51402 regulator supports remote sensing (VTT) as well as all DDR VTT bus termination power requirements. The VTT External Reference Input (VRI) enables flexible input tracking either directly or through a resistor divider. With a 0.5V-1.8V VRI, the NCP51402 regulator is ideal for low-power LDO applications including low-power chipsets and graphics processor cores requiring dynamically adjustable output voltage
