Overview

The MA4P7470F-1072T is a surface mountablePIN diode in a non-magnetic Metal ElectrodeLeadless Faced (MELF) package. The deviceincorporates MACOM's time proven HIPAX technology to produce a lowinductance ceramic package with no ribbons orwhisker wires. The package utilizes MACOM's new non-magnetic platingprocess to provide a hermetically sealed packagewith extremely low permeability. Incorporated withinthe package is a glass passivated PIN chip that isfull face bonded on both the cathode and anode tomaximize surface area for low electrical andthermal resistance. The low thermal resistanceprovides excellent performance at high incidentpower levels of up to 200 watts CW. TheMA4P7470F-1072T has been comprehensivelycharacterized both electrically and mechanically toensure repeatable and predictable performance.The MA4P7470F-1072T is a non-magnetic devicewhich has similar electrical performance to itsmagnetic counterpart the MA4P7417F-1072T. Thediode is well suited for use in low loss, lowdistortion, high power switching circuits. It wasdesigned to be used in a high magnetic fieldenvironment from HF through UHF frequencies.This device is designed to meet the most rigorouselectrical and mechanical requirements of MRIenvironments.
