Overview

MACOM's product line of packaged PIN diodesrepresents a comprehensive combination of PINdiode electrical characteristics and package outlines.This union of semiconductor and packaging technologygives considerable design flexibility to the PINdiode circuit designer. The fast switching speed PINdiodes utilize thin I-region silicon dioxide passivatedchips that incorporate careful control of semiconductorprocessing. These diodes achieve consistentperformance in control circuit applications. Thepackaged CERMACHIP PIN diodes employ MACOM'sunique hard glass passivated, hermeticallysealed PIN diode chip. The packaged CERMACHIPPIN diodes are designed for use in high power andhigh RF voltage applications. The PIN diode chipsare bonded into hermetically sealed ceramic or glasspackages that are designed for high volume, closetolerance utilization. Packages are available whichare suitable for mounting in a variety of microwaveand RF circuit media. The packaged silicon PIN diodeseries has high inherent reliability and is capableof meeting stringent environmental tests. Thesediodes may be ordered with testing to selected reliabilitylevels.
