Overview

The MA4BN1840-1 is a fully monolithic broadband biasnetwork utilizing MACOM's HMICTM (Heterolithic MicrowaveIntegrated Circuit) process, US Patent 5,268,310.This process allows the formation of silicon vias byimbedding them in low loss, low dispersion glass alongwith high Q spiral inductors and MIM capacitors. Theclose proximity between elements and the combinationof silicon and glass gives this HMIC device low loss andhigh performance with exceptional repeatability throughmillimeter frequencies.Large bond pads facilitate the use of low inductanceribbon bonds, while the gold backside metallizationprovides the RF and DC ground. This allows for manualor automatic die attach via electrically conductive silverepoxy or RoHS compliant solders.
