Overview

Vishay DG2592 Audio Jack Detector with Send/End Detect is an audio jack detector and pop noise control switch IC. The DG2592 has a wide operating voltage range of 1.6-5.5V with a low quiescent current of 10A. The DG2592 is available in small miniQFN10 of 1.4x1.8x0.55mm and ultra thin UTMQFN10 of 0.35mm. The DG2592 detects the presence of a stereo headset with a microphone and send/end control button. The microphone bias line connects to ground through the MIC pin when there is no ear phone detected. The DG2592 also gives a logic high signal to the baseband controller through the DET pin.The DG2592 can sense DC levels at L_Detect and GND_Detect. The voltage at both pins will go low when an ear phone is plugged in. The presence of the ear phone pulls DET low and the MIC switch will turn off.
