Overview

Vishay Semiconductors VEML High Accuracy Ambient Light Sensors feature an easy-to-use I2C interface and are housed in miniature transparent packages. These digital 16-bit resolution sensors include a high sensitive photodiode, low-noise amplifier and a 16-bit A/D converter. The VEML have an operating voltage of 2.5-3.6V with an I2C BUS voltage range of 1.7-3.6V. These sensors include additional ambient light functions like an excellent temperature compensation and high dynamic detection resolution with a software shutdown mode control.
