Overview

MACOM’s MAVR-000400 series are ion-implanted,hyperabrupt junction, silicon tuning varactors in theSOT-23 surface mount package. These thermaloxide passivated diodes feature high capacitanceratio and quality factor. They are well suited foroctave bandwidth tuning in the HF to UHF frequencybands. The standard capacitance tolerance is ±10%, with tighter tolerances available. Capacitancematching at one or more bias voltages is alsoavailable. These diodes are supplied with 100%matte Sn plating.The MAVR-000400 series tuning varactors areuseful for octave bandwidth tuning applications inthe HF through UHF ranges. Applications includeVCOs and voltage tuned filters in radios, cable TVtuners and test instruments where low cost andexcellent lot-to-lot repeatability are critical. Lineartuning performance is available from 3 to 8 volts.
