Overview

The CD74HCT93E is a high speed CMOS 4-bit binary ripple counter. The design incorporates four master-slave flip-flops that are internally arranged to facilitate a divide-by-two segment and a divide-by-eight segment. Both sections possess distinct clock inputs (CP0\ and CP1) that trigger counter state modifications during the transition from HIGH to LOW on the clock. Due to inherent ripple delays, the Qn outputs don't change simultaneously. As a result, decoded output signals may exhibit spikes, making them unsuitable for use as clocks or strobes.
