Overview

The CD74HC4060E is a high-speed CMOS 14-stage binary counter with an oscillator. The oscillator setup permits the creation of either RC or crystal oscillator circuits. There's a Master Reset input that resets the counter to its initial zero state and turns off the oscillator. Activating the MR line triggers this reset. Each counter stage is composed of master-slave flip-flops. With every negative shift of O), the counter's state moves forward in a binary sequence. Every input and output has a buffer. The input-pulse-line, with its Schmitt trigger action, allows for the indefinite rise and fall durations.
