Overview

The MC34063/34063A is a monolithic control circuit that incorporates the primary functions necessary for DC-to-DC converters. These devices include an internal temperature-compensated reference, a comparator, a controlled duty cycle oscillator with an active current limit circuit, a driver, and a high-current output switch. This series is specifically designed for integration into Step-Down, Step-Up, and Voltage-Inverting applications with a minimum number of external components.
