Overview

The MM74C193N is a 4-bit decade counter that can be configured to count up or down based on input signals. Incrementing and decrementing are managed by two count inputs, one kept high as the other receives a clock signal. Outputs shift during the positive rise of this clock. The counter comes with preset inputs that activate when the load is logically "0", and a clear function setting all outputs to "0" when logically at "1". Carry and borrow outputs are present, enabling seamless cascading without the need for additional external components. This binary counter is commonly used in applications where counting or division of clock pulses is needed.
