Overview

The CD4029BCN is a presettable binary/decade up/down counter IC. Based on the voltage applied to the binary/decade input, the counter operates in binary or decade mode. When the binary/decade input is at a logical "1", it counts in binary; otherwise, it operates in decade mode. Likewise, if the up/down input is set to logical "1", the counter increments, and if not, it decrements. It can be preset to an initial value and count up or down based on control inputs.
