Overview

AKM’s AK1594 is a low-power transmitter only IC (beacon) supporting Bluetooth 4.2 that does not need a microcontroller. Beacons are often used in applications such as loss prevention, employee attendance, information guidance, and monitoring systems. Because this low-power IC requires no microcontroller, it provides longer battery life and can be easier to design-in versus a standard Bluetooth solution, creating Bluetooth beacon systems quickly.Features: No program development or microcontroller necessary, Security with AES-128 hardware encryptions, Ultra-low power consumption, Achieves 9.1 μA (typ.)
