Overview

The AD9139-DUAL-EBZ evaluation board, from Analog Devices, is designed for the evaluation of the AD9139. The AD9139-DUAL-EBZ device is a high speed, signal processing Digital to Analogue Converter (DAC). When connected to a DPG3 the board can evaluate the AD9139-DUAL-EBZ quickly by formatting data to send to the AD9139-DUAL-EBZ, simplifying the process. The AD9139-DUAL-EBZ evaluation board runs from a 5V power supply. There is an AD9516 clock distribution chip on the evaluation board as a clock fan-out and frequency divider for the DACCLK, REFCLK, Frame, and DPG3 input clock. An ADL5375 quadrature modulator is also included for fast DAC+IQMOD evaluation. Dual AD9139-DUAL-EBZ DACs are used on the evaluation board to work as I and Q, which typically applies to the case of wideband applications.
